Mechanical Services

RailPlan Mechanical Services Group encompasses the inspection, maintenance, and repairs of all types of passenger vehicles. Our Qualified Mechanical Person’s (QMP), under 49 CFR Section 238, are trained and certified, and currently servicing Maryland “MARC” and Amtrak rail vehicles and rolling stock.

Railplan also provides 49 CFR 238 + 229 training services, as well as providing FRA Qualified QMP Training and Certification Services.

Systems + Programs

Our Rail Services Documentation Department provides MMS (Maintenance Management Systems) + MAP (Maintenance Analysis Program) systems to clarify and document that FRA required periodic inspections and equipment modifications are properly recorded. Complete car and locomotive upgrades, as well as modifications are well within our capabilities.
